G-pa - "This is our grandaughter Melissa. She just got back from China."
Jim - "I've got a daughter that lives in Argentina and Chile."
(I'm not sure how she can live in two countrys at one time but I guess to a father his daughter can do just about anything!)
Jim - " We went to Chile to visit her and there was a cyber cafe named 'Melissa's Cafe'. They had the best cappicino's around."
(I suppose I should know this b/c my name is also Melissa)
Joe - (speaking to G-pa about me) So have to taken her to the new Chinese restaurant for dinner yet?
( cause really folks, american chinese food is juuuust what I came back to eat)!!!!
K now moving on to a previous conversation that took place in the car on the way to the oldie but goodie band concert in the park!
We've just pulled out of the drive way and began down the street. Grandpa (real name is Dick) slams on the breaks...
G-pa "I left my cap back at the house and it really gets sunny out there."
G-ma "Well go back and I'll get it for you."
(G-pa puts it into reverse)
Me- "You're on the curb gramps"
(Loud thump when the tire goes up the curb and slams back down)
G-pa - "Damn"
G-ma - "Oh Dick"
G-pa - "Well who put that stupid curb all the way out here anyways!"
G-ma - (sigh) "It's always been there Dick"
